Vaccinations

Vaccinations help keep your animals healthy and happy. At Circle of Life Animal Wellness Center we offer full vaccines for your pets.

We follow the AAHA guidelines for vaccinations, which include a complete puppy and/or kitten series, followed by booster vaccinations one year later, then every 3 year vaccinations from then on. In the adult years between vaccinations, we will still monitor your pet's health with annual exams.

Puppies and kittens should be examined as early as possible to ensure that they are healthy and to start their vaccination series. Kittens should be tested for the feline leukemia virus prior to their vaccination series, especially if their history or background is uncertain. We believe in deworming all puppies and kittens, regardless of their history or previous environment. Roundworms and hookworms can be contracted by humans, especially children, who may not always wash their hands after playing with their pets.

We also offer the Rattlesnake vaccine and Lepto vaccines for dogs that may be at higher risk for these encounters.

If you chose to get a pet from the Humane Society, or take in a stray, or in some other way inherit an older pet, it should be brought in for a full physical exam as soon as possible.

Dogs over six months should be tested for heartworms and treated with preventative medication.
